Fabric Art

I started this about a year ago, but was undecided how to finish.  I started working on it again this year.  My PHD (project have finished).  I painted fabric for the kale, the rest are printed fabrics.  So far I have thread painted the wagon and the kale.  Still need to do more on the wagon,  and the lighter areas of the kale.  I am going to try to get it finished before the April art show.

Go Cyclones

As I posted the last blog  I got to thinking of the Iowa Hawkeyes with all the black and yellow.  Had to recolor for the Iowa State Cyclones.  Trying to be impartial here.

Some more versions of the Feathered Ohio Star

I’m playing around with this pattern.  Since some of it is missing I am filling in the places with what could have been.  One version has a black square where the top and bottom Ohio stars would be.  The second version has the four Ohio stars.  Each one is cool.  One looks like a plaid.

Antique quilt block

I have an antique quilt block that is partially done.  I think it is supposed to look like this when it is finished.  All that is done are the feather star corners, the Ohio star on the right and left side of the middle black square.  I  have no pattern, but there is more fabric.  There was a needle with black thread stuck in the black square.  This was in a box along with some other quilt pieces, one of which is a white and orange Texas Lone Star.  I created this on EQ7.

Butterfly wall hanging

I spent the last few days sorting items and cleaning my sewing room.  I ran across this kit that I had purchased many years ago.  I decided it was time to make it.  I plan on giving it to a friend whose mother passed away on Christmas Eve.

Hero quilt, different colors

Thought I was done playing with this block but I decided to see what it would look like using different colors and putting a sashing around each block. Looks entirely different.

More variations of a theme.

My sister was over today and had some ideas for this quilt.  Then we rearranged the blocks and came up with another one.
